Our swage locked steel grating is manufactured by a swaging and welding process. In this process, the cross bars are inserted into pre-punched holes (usually diamond-shaped holes or round holes) in the bearing bars and then welded at each intersection, thus forming a positive mechanical connection permanently.

As a rule, the cross bars are twisted square steel bars or round steel bars.
